I began to experiment with creating smaller works on paper using the same extruded acrylic technique so as to quickly work out ideas. The large canvas paintings would easily take well over a month to complete while the paper works could be completed in a much shorter time period. In this piece each grid section was to be formed with short lines of paint. The grid is form by the endings of the lines allowing some of the background color to appear. The challenge to make each grid unit slightly different in design and pattern causes the surface to form wavy patterns of movement.
